MONTREAL: Air Canada and the Montreal Canadiens have inaugurated the Air Canada Signature Club, an ultra-premium lounge for select Montreal Canadiens season ticket holders at Montreal's home games. Air Canada Signature Club offers the most spacious seating in the arena for 200 Quebec hockey fans, who will enjoy premium, complimentary menu creations by chef Jérôme Ferrer and wine selections by sommelier Véronique Rivest. The Signature Club's design is inspired by the airline's Air Canada Signature Suites, located at Toronto Pearson and at Vancouver International Airport. Decor in the Signature Club will feature maple paneling and contemporary furniture, with Molton Brown luxury toiletries in the washrooms.
Oct. 14 marks the 20th anniversary of the Sofitel Montreal Le Carré Doré and to celebrate the occasion, the hotel is introducing a new concept: 20 rooms for $20. The offer is valid from Oct. 14-Nov. 2 for stays between Oct. 14, 2022-April 30, 2023 inclusively. One room per person per stay. Date restrictions apply for stays during the holiday season. Le Renoir, the hotel's legendary restaurant, will also offer a special menu Oct. 14-23 celebrating the former chefs who have passed through the restaurant's kitchen.
TORONTO: Cocktail International will present the largest Diwali Expo in the greater Toronto area at Courtyard by Marriott Toronto-Brampton from noon to midnight on Oct. 23. The festival of lights will feature beautiful traditional décor and projection showcases to mark the beginning of the Diwali Festival 2022. Event highlights include exclusive food vendors, designer apparel and jewelry, home decor and religious items, live singing and dancing, games for children and adults, and more. Entry to the event and parking are both free of charge.
The 16th annual Toronto After Dark Film Festival will be held from Oct. 19-23 at the Scotiabank Theatre. Over 900 filmmakers from around the world submitted horror, action, and science fiction films for programming consideration, with 10 feature films and 26 short films ultimately chosen. Many of the filmmakers featured at the festival will be present for Q&A sessions with audience members after their films are screened.
WINNIPEG: Scattered Seeds' annual craft market returns for its 26th iteration for two weekends: Oct. 14-16 and Oct. 21-23. Each weekend will host a new set of 150 talented local makers that will have crafts and other goods for sale. The event will be held at Red River Exhibition Place at 3977 Portage Ave. Tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite.
