CANADA: Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Holiday Promotion, Adidas’ New Experiential Store in Toronto, the Surrey Tree Lighting Festival, and More

NATIONAL: For travelers looking to get away this winter, Omni Hotels & Resorts is offering a More Merry For Less promotion, where visitors can save up to 40% on select Omni properties throughout the U.S. and Canada. To apply the promotion, guests must book their stay no later than Dec. 4 for a visit between Nov. 22 and Feb 26, 2023; it cannot be combined with other discounts and is not applicable to group or convention bookings. And to get guests in the holiday spirit even more, the hospitality company is also selling an artisanal hot chocolate collection by spice master chef Lior Lev Sercaz, available Nov. 19-Jan. 31. Customers can expect handcrafted marshmallows, bold espresso, and dairy-free options.

EDMONTON: Glow Christmas Festival Edmonton is taking place Dec. 1-Jan. 1 at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Guests are invited to the 100,000-square-foot venue to help Santa save Christmas, and will be tasked to find clues located inside an enchanted lights garden and magical castle in order to find Santa’s lost presents. Attendees can expect no shortage of selfie walls and photo-worthy murals, color-changing LED swings, a light tunnel, and more. Tickets are available online starting at $16.99.

TORONTO: Adidas has opened a 13,000-square-foot experiential retail space at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Alongside the usual shopping space with Adidas products, the newest outpost also boasts a lounge, community activation space, and a shop where products inspired by Toronto will be for sale. Guests can also expect plenty of techy touch points and educational opportunities to learn more about Adidas’ connection to the Canadian city.

VANCOUVER: The 26th annual Eastside Culture Crawl kicks off Nov. 17 and will celebrate visual arts, design, and crafts through Nov. 20. Throughout the four-day event, more than 500 artists on the city’s east side will open their studios to the public, including painters, jewelers, sculptors, furniture makers, potters, photographers, glassblowers, and more. Artists will be both internationally established and emerging, and will be located in 80-plus venues in the area bounded by Columbia Street, First Avenue, Victoria Drive, and the Waterfront. Visit the Eastside Culture Crawl’s website for more information on picking up a printed map and the 2022 program guide.

The Surrey Tree Lighting Festival kicks off its 12th holiday season on Nov. 19 at Surrey Civic Plaza from noon-8 p.m. Presented by Concord Pacific, the annual to-do’s main event—the lighting of a 60-foot Christmas tree—will begin at 6 p.m., and guests can expect the lights to turn on at 6:30 p.m. On-site, there will also be free photos with Santa, amusement park rides, and a tunnel of twinkling lights. There will also be an expanded holiday market this year, where more than 25 local vendors will be selling handmade, artisan products.
