US: Convene Acquires etc.venues, the First-Ever Morrocanoil The Collective, a New Restaurant in NYC, and More

GLOBAL: Hospitality company Convene announced that it has required etc.venues, a U.K.-based leader in urban day conferencing with locations in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and New York City. The acquisition adds 16 new venues to Convene’s portfolio, making it the largest single provider of dedicated meeting and event venues in the U.S. and U.K.

LAS VEGAS: Morrocanoil is hosting its first-ever, three-day global community event Sept. 10-12 at Resorts World Las Vegas. Dubbed Morrocanoil The Collective, the event will be centered around professional education and inspiration and will be designed to unite Morrocanoil professionals to learn, network, and collaborate with industry peers and the brand’s ambassadors. Enrollment for The Collective is now open on Morrocanoil’s website, starting at $1,200. 

NAPLES, FLA.: The Inn on Fifth is offering a two-night romance package just in time for Valentine’s Day. The package is designed to offer guests a taste of the Fifth Avenue lifestyle, with a stay in the King Suite, a bottle of champagne, turndown service complete with rose petals, and a romantic dinner for two. Dubbed the “Fall in Love on Fifth,” the package is available starting at $1,299 now through spring.

NEW YORK: Kalye, a Filipino street fare-inspired restaurant located on Broome Street on Manhattan’s East Side, is now open. On the menu? A pork and ube slider, shrimp shumai, veggie lumpia, and a selection of arancinis. Kalye is also a partner of Artist Assist, a local nonprofit dedicated to bettering the lives of NYC artists.
