CANADA: Little Modern Market to Open in Calgary, a Glow-in-the-Dark Festival in London, Liberty Entertainment Group's New Experience, and More

CALGARY: Little Modern Market, a pop-up market with more than 90 local and small shops, is taking place on March 11 from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at The Commons Building at ATCO Park. The market will feature an art installation with free mini-classes with take-home pieces, workshops, face painting, and more. 

EDMONTON: The YEG Colour Fest | Malang is a one-day festival kicking off on March 4 at 6 p.m. at the Edmonton EXPO Centre. The glow-in-the-dark festival is a celebration of culture and music. Guests can expect to hear from DJs from London, as well as DJs mixing local urban beats. The event will also feature a cash bar and street food stalls. Tickets are available via Eventbrite, starting at $22.62, and include a complimentary tube of glow-in-the-dark paint. 

MONTREAL: NO HAY BANDA announced that Los Angeles-based opera singer White Boy Scream is making her Canadian debut with a performance at La Sala Rossa on March 13. She will be performing her latest album, BAKUNAWApaying homage to the pre-colonial mythology of the Philippines. The opening act will be Montreal’s Wapiti duo in collaboration with Vancouver-based composer and performer Mauricio Pauly.  

Author Russel Brooks will launch his fifth suspense thriller, Jam Run, on March 31 at 5 p.m. at the Jamaica Association of Montreal. Hosted by fellow author Nigel Thomas, the book launch will feature live readings and a Q&A session. The launch date, which is also International Transgender Day of Visibility, corresponds with one of the book's themes. 

TORONTO: Liberty Entertainment Group is presenting “Imagine Dragons,” an immersive theatrical experience, at Casa Loma from March 11-19, from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. The experience is a sponsorship activation to promote Paramount Pictures' new film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (which premieres in theaters March 31). Guests can expect interactive live performances, medieval music by The Casa Loma Minstrels—conducted by Maestro Paolo Busato—an aerialist, and more.
