US: Atlas Event Rental's Pink Parties, Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown's New Hires, Hispanic Heritage Month Event, and More

MIAMI: The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), Miami-Dade County’s official DMO, has named Amanda Ford as sports and entertainment tourism manager. Ford will be responsible for supporting sales and marketing efforts positioning Greater Miami and Miami Beach as premier sporting and entertainment destinations with an added focus on attracting film and television production. Most recently, Ford was with the Florida Sports Foundation where she directed the foundation’s grant program.

Atlas Event Rental, a large event rental company in South Florida, will host its annual Pink Parties in October to kick off the fall event season at each showroom in Boynton Beach, Stuart, and Miami. Atlas will open its showroom doors for an evening of networking, food, and fun for all event pros in the area. With many sponsors on board and a dress code of pink, attendees can expect nights of great food, on-site activations, swag, networking, and more. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Atlas will also be making a donation to Susan G. Komen on behalf of the events. 

NASHVILLE, TENN.: HRI Hospitality announced two appointments to lead the opening of Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown, including Rick Schatz as general manager and Ronni Anderson as director of sales and marketing. The new hotel is scheduled to open in spring 2024 adjacent to Nashville Yards in the heart of downtown. In their new roles, Schatz and Anderson will oversee the property’s 306 rooms, multiple food and beverage concepts (including Nashville’s first Bluestone Lane cafe), 1,000-square-foot fitness center, outdoor pool and event lawn, fifth-floor sky lobby with expansive views of downtown, and 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

NEW ORLEANS: Cypress Equities and Lauricella Land Company announced a landmark lease agreement that will bring Shell’s Gulf of Mexico operations headquarters to a cutting-edge 142,000-square-foot multifloor office building in the heart of the emerging River District neighborhood. The lease agreement between Shell and Cypress Lauricella RD 2A LLC is the first major office space to be planned for the River District and the first Class A office building to be constructed in New Orleans since 1989. The building will be located on Convention Center Boulevard between Henderson and Euterpe streets.

NEW YORK: In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Rémy Martin has launched a new campaign, Que Viva Rémy Sobremesa. To celebrate the month, Rémy Martin will invite cocktail and culinary aficionados in New York City to join the brand at the Rémy Martin Sobremesa Social Club for an evening of lively entertainment alongside world-class cocktails and Hispanic-infused recipes curated by award-winning chefs Carlos Gaytan and Paola Velez, and renowned mixologist Josué Gonzaléz, each inspired by their backgrounds. The event will take place Sept. 20 at JALAO NYC.
