How I got here: I created my own job and I always have. I’ve been in the meetings industry since I was 18. By constantly innovating and keeping an eye out for what will help our industry move forward, I’ve forged my career out of a solutions-based drive to improve events and simplify the enormous workload event professionals consistently experience.
Greatest career accomplishment: I am grateful, though astounded, to be a part of the only 2 percent of female founders who have successfully raised venture capital. Using that accomplishment as a platform to help change the conversation for women and minorities in their future business has become a principle goal for me. Being named in Portland Business Journal’s Women of Influence is also a huge honor I was recently privileged with.
Impressive stats: Securing $6.3 million in Series B funding in 2018 was a tremendous milestone for my team at Hubb.
What I am working on: I am excited to attend some of the hundreds of events Hubb helps manage to see our software in action. Namely, a few upcoming events we’re pumped about are: CEMA Summit, Event Tech Live and Experiential Marketing Summit.
What I do outside of work: I frequently mentor other women in business to help them through the tribulations I’ve experienced as a female founder. I’m also an avid foodie and food photographer (my Instagram is exclusively comprised of food and travel).
