What I do: I am responsible for the global meetings program for Cardinal Health. We operate programs in the U.S and Canada, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. I am responsible for a team of seven planners, two coordinators, and nine sourcing managers supporting all offsite meeting needs for our Fortune 15 company.
Greatest career accomplishment: One of the things I’m most proud of is successfully transforming my team from a group that was viewed as tactical support to a team of strategic business partners. Not only did we refine the way our planners and sourcing managers viewed their work, we also changed the perception of the department within the company.
Impressive stats: In November 2017, we were at a 28 percent compliance rate for all U.S. and Canada-based meetings being conducted within the company. At the end of 2018, we had raised this number to 42 percent. We also average an 18 percent savings on all contracts that run through our department.
