Liz Strozier, 34, works in Jersey City, New Jersey, as executive director of programming of Forbes Media. As a 2019 40 Under 40 honoree, Strozier discusses her passion for the events industry.

What I do: I oversee content programming across Forbes’ suite of live events. We have 12 tentpole summits, including the Forbes Under 30 Summit; the Forbes Women’s Summit and the Forbes Healthcare Summit. We also partner with a range of clients to produce a multitude of custom events throughout the year. Across these events, I lead a team of programmers in creating the agendas and speaker outreach.
Greatest career accomplishment: Heading into 2018, it was clear that our CMO Summit needed a revitalization. We took some risks tried a few inventive new content methods. The event was a great success, with many commenting that it was the best program ever. It was really exciting to disrupt our own event!
What I am working on now: I’m so excited for our 2019 Under 30 Summit. This year we’re taking the event to the vibrant, gritty and fascinating city of Detroit. We’re going to bring more than 7,000 of the most talented young people to the city for a truly remarkable experience.
