Leigh Ann Krohmer, CMP, DMCP, describes herself as outgoing, creative and confident. Learn more about her.
What I do: I manage a team of eight professionals that put together creative, unique events for corporate clients that are coming to our lovely destination in Florida. I manage hundreds of vendors throughout the state to provide products that set us apart from our competition and keep us fresh in the marketplace. I oversee strategy and budgets as well as quality control.
How I got here: After graduating from the University of Central Florida, Rosen College of Hospitality Management, I started my career in the DMC business and fell in love. I worked in DMC services for several years and then went on to sell for a few hotels to become better rounded in the industry. Ultimately, I found my passion at 360 Destination Group and I have been in my current position for almost five years.
Greatest career accomplishments: I am most proud of earning my CMP and DMCP designation at such a young age in my career. I also am proud to be on the executive leadership team at my organization. Winning the ADMEI Award for Best Overall Program in 2016 for an event I put together is also a career highlight.
Impressive stats: We’ve seen a 50% growth in our employment in the last year at 360 Destination Group
Specific improvement I’ve made: There was not a director of account management title at 360DG before starting with the company. I have built the department from the ground up and have been an example for other 360DG offices to model their departments around the Florida branch.
What I am working on now: I am excited for implementing a new CRM costing platform in 2020 that will change the way we do business.
What I do outside of work: I am a mother of two beautiful children under the age of 2. When I have free time, I like to work out at Orange Theory, cook, drink great wine and go to Orlando Magic games.
