How I got here: I started my career opening the café in the Grand Del Mar and then moved to the restaurant as the manager and catering assistant. I then transitioned from the hotel world to third-party meeting planning and spent 10 years at third-party agencies. In 2016, I began working at Illumina on the regional marketing team. I moved to commercial to spearhead the Global Sales and Marketing meetings in 2017.
Impressive stats: Our mobile app had a download rate greater than 95% for the past four meetings. I negotiated hotel cost savings of $500,000 to $550,000 annually.
What I do outside of work: I love to go to local networking events and organize philanthropy events/give back opportunities. Some of my favorite organizations are Ronald McDonald House to volunteer and Site to network. Some of my favorite activities to do with my kids are hang out at the bay, bake treats and go to the zoo.
