What I do: I assist in managing daily operations and workload appropriation for the sourcing team at HPN Global. My team supports more than 160 HPN Global account eExecutives worldwide in securing the perfect place for their clients’ meetings and events. Additionally, I am responsible for connecting with industry partners and sharing best practices on how to partner with our company.
How I got here: The stars aligned eight years ago when HPN was expanding and in need of a sourcing coordinator. They took a chance on me with no previous site selection or corporate event experience. I worked my way through various roles such as sourcing coordinator, sourcing specialist, senior sourcing specialist and currently serve as assistant manager of the sourcing operations team.
Impressive stats: When I began working for HPN, the sourcing team was comprised of four coordinators. In the last eight years, my team has tripled. I was an instrumental contributor in creating the standard operating procedures and training structure that has allowed our team to evolve and support the company’s rapid growth of more than 50% in the number of programs sourced and more than 74% in the number of room nights sourced from our team over the last three years.
What I am working on now: I’m working with my director on the implementation of a new system for sourcing RFPs on behalf of our HPN Global account executives.
What I do outside of work: In my free time, I volunteer for UCP of Central Arizona advocating for children and adults with special needs. I love traveling to new destinations and spending quality time with my husband and two children.
