What I do: I am responsible for designing, planning and executing internal and customer-facing events for Benco. These events range in size from 50 to 900 attendees. My team and I are responsible for all facets of the events including hotel accommodations, F&B, travel, itineraries, AV, event mobile apps and event design.
How I got here: After receiving my bachelor’s degree from Temple University in public relations, I started my career with Benco Dental as the Administrative Assistant to the vice president of marketing. I was later promoted to the media production coordinator within our branding and communication department while earning my master’s degree in organizational management. This position really is where I was able to truly learn my career strengths— event planning and project management. In 2017, I started a new position as event planner and was promoted to senior event planner in 2019.
Greatest career accomplishment: Planning and executing Benco’s first incentive trip—a trip to Cuba in 2018. I organized the trip for about 20 winners and their guests residing all around the U.S. It was fulfilling to be able to host the trip in a location where many people could say they never have been.
Impressive stats: Benco Dental’s lifestyle magazine, Incisal Edge, hosts a 40 Under 40 photoshoot and cocktail reception: a two-day event every spring in New York City showcasing America’s top young dentists. Since I have started planning this event, attendance has increased by 20% and continues to grow each year.
What I do outside of work: I love to travel with my husband, Pat, and my girlfriends. In addition to traveling, I love spending time with my Golden Retriever, Ruby. I’ve recently taken up tennis.
