What I do: “With experience on both the planner and supplier side, I bring all of my background to fully understand meeting goals of clients like American Orthodontic Society.”
How she got here: In 2005, Baranik started her career in meeting planning, then moved into the DMC world at Hello! Florida in Orlando. “Because of my love for social media, I moved to an event tech company working directly with associations,” she says. “That led me to my next role at the Hard Rock International corporate office, where I handled group sales and marketing. This past year, I decided to combine all of my experience with my passion and work directly with planners on their meetings as a third-party planner and qualified association specialist.”
Greatest career accomplishments: “I have helped clients save over $100,000 in their contracts to put more money back into their budgets. By working with clients on an overall strategy, we have increased attendance by 25 percent.”
Next-working: “I’m involved with the marketing committee for Florida Society of Association Executives and the membership committee for Georgia Society of Association Executives. On an annual basis, I participate in the American Diabetes Association’s Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes, in honor of my mother.”
Up next: Baranik is excited to work with an organization holding its first meeting next year. “We are going through the process of discussing objectives for this large-scale meeting and evaluating locations, venues and more.”
