What I do: “At Core-apps, a mobile event management software company, I demo our suite of event tech products.”
How she got here: Fox graduated with a degree in food marketing and got an internship that allowed her to work on the Sweets & Snacks Expo, put on by National Confectioners Association, which then hired her as an operations coordinator. In her last year with NCA, she met the CEO of Core-apps. “He was impressed with how I managed registration and all the people demanding my attention, and offered me a job a week later.”
Next-level numbers: When Fox was at the NCA, she increased the number of qualified big buyers at the show by about 5 percent. At Core-apps, she was the top sales person for new contracts in 2014, and the top salesperson overall in 2015.
Next-gen idea: “I sat down with one of Core-apps’ presidents and the lead technician to pitch an idea of combining our association app, which houses an organization’s membership directory, calendar, etc., with our on-site event apps so planners could have easy access to an organization’s total offerings in one place.” They both agreed to spec it out, and worked together to create a compelling argument for it. A few months later, the combined product was officially added to the company’s product offerings credited to Fox.
