What I do: “First, I plan and promote our conferences and meetings. Second, I sell education to our industry and coordinate classes throughout the country.”
Next-level numbers: In 2010, Ryzner planned the annual Die Casting Executive Conference. “We had only 44 attendees,” she recalls. Each year, Ryzner has grown that number by finding interesting speakers and making each year’s conference more memorable than the last with food and entertainment. In February, the conference attracted 76 attendees—about a 75 percent increase over 2009. Last year, she sold more than $1 million in space at Die Casting Congress
& Exposition.
Next-gen idea: “To be more green, we have cut our printed conference materials by about 80 percent.”
