What I do: As the CEO of BizBash, I cover the event industry and allow event pros the ability to “peek over the fence” to see what others are doing and offer inspiration, ideas and resources up to produce smarter events. I like to act as though I am the mayor of the event industry helping to showcase the power of smart face-to-face interaction.
How I got here: I decided at 45 years old that I wanted to go back to being an entrepreneur and create my own future.
Greatest career accomplishment: Keeping my integrity in everything I do by finding common ground through creativity and problem solving.
What I am working on now: I am exploring new collaboration techniques that spread the word on the social physics of live gatherings.
What I do outside of work: I spent the Obama years as a special consultant to the Chief of Protocol of the United States and helped create a program that turned the artifacts of American history into a curriculum to teach civic engagement. I also helped start the Diplomatic Culinary Partnership’s American Chef Corps with more than 100 chefs becoming ambassadors who serve America.
