Newport Has New Hotspot

Has The O.C.breathed new life into the O.C.? In January Newport Beach got a luxe new 25,000-square-foot event space, operated by the Ten Restaurant Group (949.660.1010), which includes three connected venues (4647 MacArthur Blvd.) and caters to a young, upscale crowd: Ten Asian Bistro restaurant, Tentation Ultra Lounge, and Caffe Panini. Ten features a 16-foot Buddha statue and has two patios with fire pits and a working waterfall; the main dining room seats 150, and each patio can accommodate 50. Caffe Panini is a Tuscan-inspired space decorated in earth tones with a trellis-covered patio; its main dining room and patio can together accommodate 150. Tentation features a Miami theme and a 50-foot bar, five private rooms, a patio with gazebos, 20 plasma monitors, and high-tech lighting and audiovisual systems. —Alesandra Dubin
