February 19, 2014: See What It’s Like to Walk a Runway, Heineken Launches Major Foursquare Campaign, the Weirdest Toys at the New York Toy Fair

1. SEE WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WALK A RUNWAY: Model Cara Delevingne carried a smartphone as she walked in Giles Deacon’s show at London Fashion Week on Monday, recording what she believes is the first “runway selfie.” New York Post: “The British model recorded four short Instagram videos during the show, adding wild commentary to each. Delevingne proceeded to strut down the catwalk while filming the entire scene with her iPhone for her four million plus followers, gleefully yelping and making faces the entire way." http://pge.sx/1fdfsCD

2. HEINEKEN LAUNCHES MAJOR FOURSQUARE CAMPAIGN: As consumers drift away from branded mobile apps, Heineken is pairing up with a more established social site, Foursquare, for a campaign that targets American fans of European football. Adweek: "Since the consumer is driven by the Foursquare check-in to bars where their fellow fans are cheering on the teams," commented Eric Bader, RadiumOne C.M.O., "it's likely that consumers will then share content with their social networks, including more on Foursquare, which can extend the Heineken brand's investment even further." http://bit.ly/1kT1Dvm

3. THE WEIRDEST TOYS AT THE NEW YORK TOY FAR: The New York Toy Fair, which concludes today, introduces items sure to be under many a family’s Christmas tree, but it also includes some truly odd objects.
