Open since the first week in May, Mio in is
located in the ever-growing downtown area (next door to the newly opened Il
Mulino) and combines live piano music with a global American menu. The
60-seat restaurant, designed by Georgetown-based Grupo 7 Design Studio,
features warm earth tones, exposed brick, and platinum accents.
Those looking for lighter fare and a livelier experience can sit in the “pit stop” area positioned in front of the open-air kitchen. The restaurant also has a glass-encased semiprivate dining area elevated above the main dining room.
