In September, Amp Rock Lounge overtook the Lincoln Park space that formerly housed Katacomb. The subterranean venue gives off a rock 'n' roll vibe with snakeskin-swathed bar stools, drums doubling as cocktail tables, and classic song lyrics scrawled on the walls.
Available for full buyouts, the venue can accommodate 100 guests for cocktails. Planners may also opt to rent out just the main room, which can host receptions for 65, or a private back room that offers its own bar and standing room for 35. The venue works with catering company Food Evolution; planners are also free to bring in caterers of their choice.
On-site perks include pre-programmed iPods that can score events with thematic soundtracks ranging from '80s hits to alternative rock.
