West Loop restaurant Sepia, which opened in 2007, will unveil a private dining space in late spring. The space will host seated lunches and dinners for 80 and cocktail receptions for 180.
Set to overtake a neighboring building that formerly housed the Maria Pinto boutique, the new venue has gray bamboo flooring, high ceilings, and walls etched with an antiqued metallic design.
Chef Andrew Zimmerman will oversee the private dining menu. Sample offerings include slow-cooked halibut with shell bean scafatta and pistou broth; soft-cooked duck egg with a ragout of asparagus, morels, and confit potatoes; and Yukon Gold potato gnocchi.
