Wall-Length Gobo Adds Dramatic Dimension to Event Space

For the March 18 launch party for new venue Dock5 at Union Market, producers Bruce Pike of Bruce Pike Productions and Bella Notte’s Sara Bauleke sought to bring the outdoors inside. The Garden Glam theme came to life with a mixture of live trees throughout the industrial space, combined with a wall-length forest gobo. The projection added depth to the space while also drawing guests to the three bars and food stations set up in that area of the 13,000-square-foot venue.

“I wanted the light trees to be a focal point of the room, and the wall is raw cinder block, so it can be hard to hang things on but looks bare if left untreated,”  Pike said. “We wanted people to envision what they could do with their own events in the space.”
