CHICAGO: Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile has opened Reviver, a contemporary bar that’s part of the hotel’s lobby renovation. The venue, which serves a variety of cocktails including zero-proof options, seats 28 at a bar and 172 with seating arrangements that extend through the lobby. The bar also has a semiprivate space, the “library,” that holds 50 people reception style.

TORONTO: Planta Queen, a restaurant serving plant-based Asian cuisine, has opened at 180 Queen Street West. The restaurant is the fourth concept from Planta Restaurants, which is helmed by chef David Lee, Steven Salm, and David Grutman. The 7,000-square-foot restaurant seats 160 guests.
