ATLANTA: The first U.S. location of Motto by Hilton, a micro hotel concept, will open in Old Fourth Ward in 2021. The hotel will have 125 rooms, each spanning an average of 163 square feet.

DENVER: The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa has appointed Justin Budyak complex director of sales and marketing of the 241-room property and the adjacent 231-room Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown.

LOS ANGELES: Pitchfork: “Primavera Sound—the annual music festival held in Barcelona and Porto—has announced it is expanding to the United States for the first time. Primavera Sound Los Angeles will be held September 19-20 at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The new fest will be co-produced by Live Nation alongside the festival’s directors.” 

Tracy Morgan will host the 2019 ESPY Awards, taking place July 10 at Microsoft Theater.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Seek and Find, a dining and nightlife venue in Coral Gables, will open Room 25, a speakeasy, on June 6. The Prohibition-inspired bar and lounge will be located on the second floor and accessible only with a secret password.

The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s next Hearts & Stars Gala Weekend will take place May 19-21, 2020. The event’s theme will be “Riviera Maya.”

NEW YORK: The 12th annual Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival Presented by Capital One will take place October 10-13. New and returning events include Elvis Duran's Taste of New York hosted by Elvis Duran & the Z100 Morning Show, Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats and hosted by Rachael Ray, and Sunday Brunch hosted by Marc Murphy and Devour Power. The festival raises money for Food Bank For New York City and No Kid Hungry.

The Lulu & Leo Fund held its inaugural Choose Creativity Awards on June 3 at Edison Ballroom. Melissa Etheridge performed at the event, which honored creators in the categories of artist, scientist, designer, educator, and activist. 

Endeavor has appointed Barry Parasram director of communications. Parasram was formerly director of marketing and player programs communications for the N.B.A.

Circle Line Cruises at Pier 83 will host Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage, a nautical-theme show by tech-house artist Justin Jay, on June 15.

WASHINGTON: Washington Business Journal: “Bethesda-based Pebblebrook Hotel Trust announced Monday that West Hollywood, California-based Viceroy Hotels & Resorts will take over July 1 as third-party operator of the Mason & Rook Hotel and the Donovan Hotel. Both the Mason & Rook and Donovan are currently Kimpton properties.”
