AUSTIN: Moxy Austin hotel is slated to open at the end of 2020. Owned by White Lodging, the 162-room hotel will have a bar that doubles as a check-in desk and Zombie Taco, a 24-hour food truck.
BOSTON: Encore Boston Harbor will open on June 23. The $2.6 billion hotel will have the first legalized gambling casino in the city, and more than 50,000 square feet of conference space on the lobby level. Event spaces include a ballroom that holds as many as 2,819 guests for receptions.
LAS VEGAS: DJ Marshmello, Snoop Dogg, and Ninja will headline the inaugural Metarama Gaming and Music Festival, taking place October 19-20 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
LOS ANGELES: Los Angeles Times: “Maverick cinema chain Alamo Drafthouse is set to finally open its long-awaited downtown Los Angeles location next month. The Texas-based exhibitor’s 12-screen theater, located at the Bloc shopping complex on 7th and Flower streets, is nearly complete and will hold a ‘soft launch’ in early July, the company said Wednesday.”
