ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: The 12th World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress will take place October 15-17 in Abu Dhabi for the first time.

ATLANTA: Taste of Atlanta will take place October 18-20 at Historic Old Fourth Ward Park. Participating restaurants include 5 Church, Bulla Gastrobar, Golden Eagle, and Three Dollar Cafe.

LOS ANGELES: The 23rd annual Hollywood Film Awards will take place November 3 at the Beverly Hilton. Rob Riggle will host the event, which is produced by Dick Clark Productions.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: The Jonas Brothers will headline Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31. 

Pride Fort Lauderdale will host the first Pride of the Americas and will take place April 21-26, 2020, in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The event will bring together two continents and 35 countries for events including a parade, arts festival, fashion show, and drag brunches. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau will sponsor the event. 

NEW ORLEANS: The fourth annual Beignet Fest will take place October 5 at Festival Grounds at City Park. The event features more than 20 beignet vendors and benefits the Tres Doux Foundation.

NEW YORK: Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel has appointed Chris Rynkar general manager and Yelithza Gonzales director of sales and marketing. The hotel is slated to open this fall. 

Ruby’s Café will open its third New York location on Thursday East Village. The restaurant, helmed by restaurateur Nick Mathers, specializes in Australian burgers and sandwiches, grain bowls, pasta, and avocado toast. The venue is located in the former Martina space. 

Gerber Group now manages food and beverage operations for Hotel 50 Bowery. The hospitality group plans to refresh spaces including rooftop bar the Crown, private event space Concept, and the Museum of Chinese in America Gallery in early 2020.
