BOSTON: Hyatt Regency Boston has named Carlos E. Rojas as its new director of sales, marketing, and events. He has 17 years of experience and most recently served under the same title at Andaz West Hollywood.

LAS VEGAS: This New Year’s Eve weekend, the Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio will introduce a new restaurant concept that will provide dining and late-night fun in an immersive entertainment experience, produced by No Ceilings Entertainment.

LOS ANGELES: Abernethy's has named chef Jason Fullilove—executive chef at the Magic Castle and owner of Barbara Jean—as its second chef-in-residence. The downtown eatery offers emerging chefs a platform for creativity, with a new chef and menu every quarter; Top Chef’s Shirley Chung served as the inaugural chef-in-residence. Fullilove's tenure begins December 11.

NEW YORK: Yard House is coming to Times Square. The restaurant will feature new American cuisine with a global menu, a wide range of draft beers, and craft cocktails. At its new 19,000-square-foot space, Yard House will feature mezzanine spaces for private events.

The IBREA Foundation and Brain Education TV are coming together to host a fund-raiser December 10 at the Harlem Brain Center. The event will feature brain-based games, meditations, exercises, and exhibits based on Brain Education. All proceeds from the evening will go to benefiting under-served women and youth in Harlem through the IBREA Foundation. 

Kimpton Muse Hotel has completed an extensive renovation. The update includes the lobby area, a new eatery known as the Muse Bar, and a new fitness center.

SAN DIEGO: Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa has announced plans to start an over $50 million renovation. It will create upgraded guest rooms and suites, refurbished meeting and event spaces, and new restaurant and bar concepts, while enhancements will be made to the grand lobby entrance, spa, fitness center, two pools, and championship Arnold Palmer-designed Aviara Golf Club.
