LAS VEGAS: The U.S. Travel Association's IPW 2020 will take place May 30-June 3 in Vegas. This year's show will have a new educational program, more booth options, and a revamped press conference format.

LOS ANGELES: The 2020 BeachLife Festival, which takes place May 1-3 in Redondo Beach, will feature headliners Steve Miller Band, Counting Crows, and Ziggy and Stephen Marley.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA:  The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has brought on Mike Sophia as vice president of sports business development. He has worked in the sports, events, and entertainment business for over 25 years. Most recently, he served as director of the Sacramento Sports Commission. His career began with the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games.

A blend of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine will be served up at MILA, a new South Beach restaurant from Gregory and Marine Galy opening on Friday. The kitchen will be helmed by executive chef Nicolas Mazier.

NEW YORK: Playwright Jeremy O. Harris will co-curate Out of Line this July with High Line associate curator of public programs, Diya Vij. Specific dates have not been announced. Out of Line is the High Line’s summer performance series that showcases contemporary artists from all over New York City. Past performers have included Narcissister, A.R.M. (Alexandro Segade, Robbie Acklen, and Malik Gaines), Brendan Fernandes, Shaun Leonardo, Antonio Ramos, and Yara Travieso.

SAN DIEGO: Julie Coker has been tapped as the new president and C.E.O. of the San Diego Tourism Authority. She is president and C.E.O. of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, where she will work through March. She succeeds Joe Terzi, who announced his retirement last year after he served in the role for a decade.
