Industry News: ADCOLOR Comes to Atlanta, Interactive Art Exhibit 'Immersed in Wonderland' Opens, Zoo Miami's Feast with the Beasts, and More

ATLANTA: For the first time, ADCOLOR 2020, an event dedicated to celebrating professionals of color and diversity in creative industries, will be held in Atlanta at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Themed “Here for It," the conference will be held September 10-13. 

LOS ANGELES: The Coachella and Stagecoach festivals have been rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns. Originally scheduled for three weekends in April, Coachella will now take place October 9-11 and October 16-18, while Stagecoach will take place October 23-25.

The inaugural 320 Festival will take place at L.A. Live on May 9. Designed to promote mental health, the free, open-to-the-public event will feature a mental health summit with panels and roundtables, plus film screenings and a festival with nonprofit activations, musical performances, and family-friendly activities.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Zoo Miami Foundation and Zoo Miami will play host to Feast with the Beasts on March 13. Guests can expect bites and drinks from over 40 South Florida restaurants, caterers, and beverage providers. Entertainment at the fare-focused event will include DJs, belly dancers, a live tiger feeding, and more.

NEW YORK: The interactive art exhibit, "Immersed in Wonderland" by Alexa Meade, opens March 13 and runs until June 28 at 111 West 32nd Street. Visitors will be able to wear hand-painted costumes and be immersed in the installation's vignettes, which are inspired by Adventures in Wonderland. Tickets are available for $38.

Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS's signature fund-raising event, Diffa By Design, will be postponed to July 9-11 due to current concerns over the COVID-19 outbreak. Originally set to take place from March 26-28, the event will feature installations by brands, artists, and designers meant to inspire guests, plus a series of conversations and interactive sessions led by industry professionals.

WASHINGTON: Taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the 12th annual Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge will bring together more than 40 embassies on May 28 for an evening of culture, fare, and friendly competition. Guests can expect educational programming, regional cuisine, live entertainment, and more.
