Industry News: Park MGM Debuts New Virtual DJ Parties, Miami's Home Show Management Launches New Virtual DIY Demo Series, and More

ATLANTA: London-based hospitality company Social Entertainment Ventures will open one of its signature activity-based concepts to Midtown's Star Metals development. The yet-to-be-disclosed entertainment venue will occupy 10,000 square feet of space and is slated to open in summer 2021.

LAS VEGAS: Last night, Park MGM debuted its new "The Wednesday Spin" virtual DJ parties. Each week, the resort's Instagram account will feature three hours of beats from Las Vegas-based DJs. 

LOS ANGELES: This week, Hollywood Post 43 and its caterer Crateful are donating a day's worth of nutritious meals to 50 ER shift workers, doctors, and employees of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The venue and catering company recently announced a meal-delivery service in the wake of COVID-19 event cancellations. 

Today at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, BizBash chairman and founder David Adler and West Coast editor Claire Hoffman will co-host a virtual discussion, dubbed "Conversations from the Inside: Ideas, Insights, and Resources for Los Angeles Amid COVID-19." MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: As this year's Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show was postponed due to growing coronavirus concerns, Home Show Management is launching “Stay Home with the Home Show,” featuring virtual DIY demos with design celebrities and influencers via Instagram Live and Facebook Live. Celebrity designer Alena Capra will kick off the series with "De-Clutter and Re-Style Your Bedroom" on Monday, April 6 at 7 p.m. ET on Facebook Live and 7:30 p.m. ET on Instagram Live.
