Industry News: Playcrafting Hosts Weekly Global Game Night Series, Social Media Week to Hold a Four-Weeklong Virtual Conference Series, Teen Vogue Planning a Virtual Prom, and More

GLOBAL: From May 5 to 28, Social Media Week will hold a worldwide virtual conference series for leaders in digital marketing, featuring 100-plus hours of educational programming, 11 content tracks, and 300-plus speakers—including Kristin Patrick, CMO of PepsiCo; Pam Wasserstein, president of Vox Media; Rishi Magia, creative strategist at Instagram; and more.

NATIONAL: Teen Vogue will host a virtual prom on May 16. High school seniors will be able to dress up and join the experience on Zoom, where celebrities will co-host a night of DJ sets, interactive choreography, custom backdrops, and more. 

LAS VEGAS: The National Hardware Show has been rescheduled to September 1 to 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 75-year-old show, which had been planned for May 5 to 7, draws 30,000 hardware professionals.

MONTREAL: Video game developer Playcrafting is hosting a free weekly series titled Global Game Night. With virtual stops already made in New York and San Francisco, next up is Montreal on April 15 at 5 p.m. ET, showcasing games and creators based in Canada, such as Guild of Ascension, The Girl and the Robot, and more.

NEW YORK: On Monday, April 13 at 4 p.m. ET, ILEA New York Metro Chapter will host a webinar titled "Expecting the Unexpected: The Do’s and Don’ts for Managing Your Business and Preparing for a Crisis," which will feature Steve Paster, past president of ILEA New York Metro Chapter, discussing how he has prepared his business for economic downturns and financial uncertainties throughout his 33 years of experience.
