Industry News: Register for BizBash's Virtual Discussion on COVID-19 in the Chicago Market, TFI Network 2020 Pivots to a Virtual Event, Events DC Announces $18 Million Hospitality/Tourism Relief Package, and More

CHICAGO: On Thursday, April 23 at 1 p.m. CT/11 a.m. PT, BizBash editors Claire Hoffman and Ashton Pike will co-host a virtual discussion, dubbed "Conversations from the Inside: Ideas, Insights, and Resources for Chicago Amid COVID-19." LAS VEGAS: Audiovisual industry trade show InfoComm will host its first virtual event, dubbed InfoComm 2020 Connected, from June 16 to 18. Organizers are requesting feedback from attendees on what sessions, events, and products they're most interested in seeing. The annual event had previously been planned for the Las Vegas Convention Center.  

NEW YORK: On Thursday, April 23 at 5 p.m. ET, ILEA New York Metro Chapter is playing host to a virtual game night in partnership with Wildgoose Events. The virtual evening will feature team networking activities, a live scoreboard, video streaming, and prizes—all guided by a virtual Game's Master. 

For the first time ever, Tribeca Film Institute's TFI Network will be hosted virtually, running April 27 through May 1. The virtual event will bring together filmmakers and creators from around the globe to connect online with industry executives, financiers, producers, festival programmers, and more.

The 42nd annual NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference has been postponed to November 11 to 12, 2020.

WASHINGTON: Events DC has announced an $18 million hospitality and tourism relief package to address the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. The full relief package includes $5 million for hospitality and restaurant recovery efforts, $5 million for hotel recovery efforts, $5 million for undocumented workers, and $3 million dedicated to destination marketing efforts.
