DC FanDome Virtual Experience, InterContinental San Francisco's New Safety Program, and More

NATIONAL: On August 22, Warner Bros. will host a 24-hour virtual experience, welcoming fans globally into the DC FanDome. The free event will give virtual attendees a glimpse into the DC Multiverse, with new announcements from WB games, film and TV, and comics, as well as an opportunity to hear from the casts and creators behind feature films and TV series such as Aquaman, The Batman, and Batwoman

LOS ANGELES: The Film Independent Spirit Awards have been pushed to April 24, 2021, the day before the rescheduled Oscars ceremony. The show was originally slated for Feb. 27, 2021.

Petersen Automotive Museum has announced a reopening date of June 19. The museum plans to follow all state and county health and safety protocols.

NEW YORK: NYCPride's virtual Human Rights Conference will stream via Facebook and YouTube on June 25. The daylong event will broadcast panels led by LGBTQIA+ media organization GLAAD and feature black and transgender activist, writer, and media strategist Raquel Willis.

SAN FRANCISCO: The InterContinental San Francisco has introduced “Meet With Confidence,” a new program designed for safe in-person and virtual events. The 556-room hotel has partnered with PSAV to offer audiovisual and virtual meeting capabilities for hybrid events, including the use of integrated audience engagement program Chime Live. Room plans have been redesigned to support six feet of physical distancing.

WASHINGTON: Live From Our Living Rooms will present DCJazzFest From Home, an online festival and fundraiser running June 21-29. The event will offer nine consecutive days of in-home performances and music-based humanities presentations to raise relief funds for D.C.-area musicians who have lost their primary source of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
