US: FashionGo Week’s Online Trade Show, a New Event-in-a-Box Concept, and More

NATIONAL: FashionGo, a B-to-B wholesale marketplace, has announced its first-ever "FashionGo Week" online trade show experience, running Aug. 24 to Sept. 6. The digital experience will allow participating vendors to upload brand videos, incorporate their brand story, showcase lookbooks, and highlight new arrivals on their dedicated brand pages. FashionGo will host select vendors on its main page and feature them in live interviews, as well as hold webinar conversations with industry experts on topics such as COVID-19’s impact on business, upcoming trends, and customer experience. 

Hestia Harlow, an event company led by international event professionals Marielle and Andrew Shortell and entrepreneur Dave Myers, has announced its official launch. The start-up offers an "event-in-a-box" concept with a rental service that delivers all the details directly to its customer’s doors, including florals. Customers can choose from any of Hestia Harlow's collections or products, select a date, and confirm. The items arrive the day before the event with custom how-to-host instructions and a return shipping label. 

ANNA MARIA ISLAND, FLA: The Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 17, celebrating the soft opening of the new property. The 123-room concept is situated on a 220-acre private island community with water views from every room, Margaritaville bedding, and more. 

NEW YORK: Saks Fifth Avenue and the League to Save Lake Tahoe are hosting their annual luncheon and fashion show virtually this year on July 30 and Aug. 1. This year’s event will feature the Oscar De La Renta PreFall/Fall 2020 collections with a sneak peek of Spring 2021, presented by creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. Now in its 51st year, the fundraiser has resulted in over $20 million in funds raised to preserve the environment of Lake Tahoe.

PITTSBURGH: The Glimmer of Hope Foundation has announced it is partnering with Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Versace, Chanel, Valentino, Tiffany & Co., and the 9th Annual James Bond Soiree to help raise funds for breast cancer research and clinical care. The live event is scheduled for Aug. 22 at Skybar Rooftop Bar and Lounge. In addition, a global live virtual event, 007 Quaranstream, will be held with several artists and guests tuning in.
