US: Keke Palmer to Host MTV VMAs, Plus New Dates for Electric Daisy Carnival and More

NATIONAL: Bustld, an online wedding-planning resource, recently launched a new service called LoveStream. LoveStream is a virtual wedding platform that allows couples to livestream their big day to family and friends with one-click stream access, eliminating the need to download an app, log in, or mess with the mute button. Guests can comment along with the stream and sign a virtual guestbook.

LAS VEGAS: Dance music festival Electric Daisy Carnival will take place May 21-23, 2021, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Insomniac-produced event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic; all tickets will be honored for the 2021 dates. 

LOS ANGELES: Adam Burke is the new president and CEO of the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board. Burke has served as the board's chief operating officer since 2016; he previously worked as senior vice president of customer loyalty for Hilton Worldwide. 

Race to Erase MS will host a drive-in gala at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Sept. 4. The evening will feature performances by Andy Grammer, Eric Benét, and Siedah Garrett, plus a virtual look at the Fall 2020 Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive Collection, a new line designed to make dressing easier for people with disabilities.

NEW YORK: Keke Palmer will host the 2020 MTV VMAs, airing live on Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. ET. Performers will include BTS, Doja Cat, and J Balvin, and Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga lead the year's nominations with nine each. The award show will feature live outdoor performances throughout the city with limited or no audiences.
