NATIONAL: The Critics Choice Association is debuting the Critics Choice Super Awards, an event honoring popular television and movie genres including superhero, science fiction/fantasy, horror, action, and animation. The virtual event will air on The CW Network Jan. 10, 2021.
BOSTON: On Oct. 15, the Massachusetts Live Events Coalition will host an "empty wedding" to draw attention to the need for government support in the live event industry. The event will be hosted at Lombardo's in Randolph and will feature wedding planners, DJs, photographers, florists, and other struggling event-related businesses.

NEW YORK: The Cauldron Magical Pub & Experience will reopen its indoor dining with a socially-distanced Halloween experience. The space will host Jack-o-lantern carving every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month, with tickets starting at $15 a person, and the Supper & Spells Experience will take place Oct. 30-31, with tickets starting at $54.99 a person.
