CANADA: C2 Online Kicks Off, Plus an Indoor Light Park, a Virtual Marketplace for Foodies, and More

NATIONAL: Tennis Canada has postponed its three Challenger pro events due to COVID-19. The events—originally slated for February and March 2021—offer opportunities for tennis professionals who cannot get into tour-level matches. Changes to the schedule will be readdressed in 2021.

CALGARY: The NoĂ«l Christmas Indoor Light Park and Christmas Market is returning to Calgary this winter on Nov. 27. The BMO Centre at Stampede Park will be transformed into a holiday experience featuring an immersive light tunnel with over 1 million twinkling lights, a 50-foot Christmas tree, and festive foods.

MONTREAL: C2 Online—Montréal 2020 kicked off yesterday and runs virtually through Oct. 30. The theme for the digital gathering, a spin-off of the popular C2 Montréal conference, is "Resilience" and includes speakers Gary Vaynerchuk, Malcolm Gladwell, Jane Fonda, Jameela Jamil, and more.

Montreal’s 2020 Fashion Preview went virtual for its seventh edition this past weekend. The three-day event showcased Montreal’s fashion schools and supported local fashion designers through webinars, short videos, virtual fashion shows, and more. 

VANCOUVER: Got Craft is organizing a virtual marketplace dubbed “Virtual Market—Foodie Edition” from Oct. 22-25. The market will feature curated selections of locally sourced treats such as holiday cookies, homemade sourdough bread, mochi buns, vegan Mexican fare, and more. To enhance the virtual experience, Got Craft is taking to Instagram for an IGTV Virtual Market Series with special programming showcasing how chocolate bars are made along with digital tours of a local apiary.
