US: The American Cancer Society's Virtual Fundraiser, the Future of Television Conference, and More

NATIONAL: Digital Media Wire’s 18th annual Future of Television Conference will take place virtually from Nov. 10-12. The event will focus on the future of post-pandemic TV and sports programming, the evolution of influencer marketing, and more, with speakers from the likes of TikTok, Starz, A&E Networks, and Roku.

DALLAS/FORT WORTH: International live event and brand experience company Freeman has named Janet Dell its president and chief operating officer. Dell’s appointment follows the retirement of chief operating officer Albert Chew, effective Oct. 31. In this new role, Dell will lead the company’s global business operations overseeing strategy, creative, design, business development, customer experience, event management, supply chain, and logistics.

LOS ANGELES: BeCore, a 20-year-old experiential marketing agency based in Los Angeles, is adding Jacob Brooks-Harris to its team in the newly created role of executive vice president for development and innovation. BeCore has recently added virtual and hybrid event solutions to its core capabilities, along with launching SafeSpace, a COVID mitigation consultancy, to prepare for meeting up again safely.

NEW YORK: The American Cancer Society will host the 15th annual Taste of Hope fundraiser virtually on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. The event will celebrate New York City’s restaurant industry and raise critical funds for cancer research and local patient service programs offered by ACS. It will feature special appearances and performances by several celebrities as well as Vanessa Joy Walker, a two-time cancer survivor and the author of Make Room for Joy.
