CANADA: A Winter Fair, a Drive-Thru LED Tree Show, Vancouver Christmas Market's Cancellation, and More

NATIONAL: The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is hosting its 99th edition virtually from Nov. 10-14. The fair, which typically attracts over 300,000 families, has pivoted to a digital format where guests can still experience the four pillars that represent The Royal: equestrian, agriculture, culinary, and education. Virtual segments will explore culinary careers, how to build a personal brand, and more.

CALGARY: The ninth edition of the Calgary European Film Festival (CEFF) invites moviegoers to view the best of European cinema from Nov. 7-15. The weeklong festival is run by volunteers from the European Cultural Society of Calgary; attendees can follow CEFF on social media for updates about featured films.

EDMONTON: The Celebration of Lights Drive-Thru is a free, safe, family-friendly event taking place Nov. 29 at Edmonton’s Festival Place where families will drive through an LED tree show complete with music and friendly characters. Children are encouraged to write letters that they can hand deliver to Santa at the drive-thru's final destination: the North Pole.

MILLARVILLE, ALBERTA: The Millarville Christmas Market is taking place Nov. 5-8 and Nov. 12-14 as an indoor-outdoor experience featuring food trucks, music, reindeer viewings, and more. Prepurchased, timed tickets are required for entry.

VANCOUVER: Vancouver’s beloved German-style Christmas Market has been canceled due to COVID-19. The market’s team is already looking forward to holiday vendors, festive music, and mugs of mulled wine in 2021. Updates on virtual activities happening in place of this year’s event are being posted on Vancouver Christmas Market’s social media pages and newsletters.
