CANADA: Final Halloween Festivities, a Virtual Comedy Event, Winter Wonderlands, and More

EDMONTON: The Deadmonton Haunted House is ending on Nov. 13 before returning for the 2021 Halloween season. The outdoor haunted house features two walk-through experiences this year—including “Area 51," the newest addition to the event where guests can uncover the mysteries of the classified site.

TORONTO: Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is hosting a virtual comedy event titled "Laugh is the Best Medicine: at Home" on Nov. 14. Before the event, an elegant meal complete with wine pairings will be delivered to guests’ homes. The show features an all-Canadian lineup including host Howie Mangel and singer Serena Ryder. All proceeds will support MGH’s renewal and expansion.

Bluffs Winter Wonderland is taking place as a drive-thru from Nov. 21 to Dec. 20 this year. Featuring 500,000 lights and one kilometer of decorated path inside Bluffer’s Park, families will ride through "Snowman City" and the "Enchanted Forest," down "Reindeer Way," and end at Santa’s house.

VANCOUVER: The Greater Vancouver Zoo is transforming into a winter wonderland Nov. 18 to Jan. 2 for its annual Glow Gardens holiday festival. The outdoor experience includes over 1 million twinkling lights, plus festive photo ops, a 100-foot light tunnel, and an interactive game where guests can win prizes by helping Santa find lost presents throughout the park.

The Festival of Trees is being held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Nov. 21 to Jan. 3. For five weeks, the hotel’s lobby will be filled with trees decorated by Vancouver’s top organizations, and members of the community are encouraged to come and vote for their favorite display. All proceeds will go to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
