CANADA: A Marvel 'Avengers' Exhibition, Vancouver's Virtual Filipino Christmas Market, and More

NATIONAL: Teen Vogue will host its annual Teen Vogue Summit virtually Dec. 5. The three-hour event will be hosted by the magazine's editor in chief, Lindsay Peoples Wagner, and will build on the theme of entrepreneurship, with keynote conversations from the likes of Selena Gomez and panel discussions centered around fashion, beauty, creativity, and social impact. A series of "career meetups" will allow attendees to interact with founders and business leaders from various brands and companies.

MONTREAL: The Montreal International Dance Festival will be held virtually and free of cost from Nov. 18-22. Nonprofit organization Infini D has announced the artists and program schedule, and more than 60 local artists—ranging from amateurs to professionals—will perform.

TORONTO: Marvel is opening an Avengers-themed exhibition this month called Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. (which stands for Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network). The interactive, family-friendly experience, which is meant to feel like a training facility for becoming an Avenger, spans 25,000 square feet with multiple rooms. It's open in Toronto from Nov. 20 to Jan. 31; tickets and VIP options start at $29.

Toronto's waterfront ice rink, Natrel Rink, has been canceled this year due to "serious infrastructure issues." Major upgrades are reportedly needed to keep the rink surface safe, including removing the concrete foundation, piping, and replacing all the infrastructure underneath.

VANCOUVER: Vancouver’s Filipino market Magkasama, which translates to “together” in Tagalog, is returning virtually this month for a Christmas edition celebrating Filipino-Canadian-owned businesses throughout the Lower Mainland. The holiday edition includes 25 vendors serving everything from cakes in a jar and Filipino coffee beans to greeting cards and tote bags. Attendees can shop online from Nov. 20-29 and pick up their purchases from Dec. 4-6 at designated locations.
