CANADA: GLOW Edmonton, the Christmas Village at Atwater Market, Nights of Lights, and More

CALGARY: The Calgary Fire Department has canceled its annual toy party for the first time in 53 years. The event was planned as a drive-thru experience this year, but due to new pandemic regulations it still conflicted with health and safety orders. Last year, 4,000 underprivileged children attended the fire department’s event, and officials are still trying to find a safe way to continue giving presents to those in need.

EDMONTON: GLOW Edmonton is running until Jan. 3. With over 90,000 square feet of walking distance, millions of twinkling lights, festive food and beverage options, and live entertainment, the indoor holiday display is the city’s largest. The event is taking place at Edmonton’s EXPO Centre, with tickets starting at $22.99.

MONTREAL: The Christmas Village at Atwater Market has returned for its fifth edition at the Place du Marché Atwater. The village is open every weekend from now until Dec. 20, and features more than 50 vendors selling takeout food, gifts, festive decor, and more. Admission is free.

TORONTO: Stackt Market’s Holiday Hills programming has returned for its second consecutive year, and the 10,000-square-foot market offers a variety of wintry experiences, including the Crokicurl ice rink, 20 resident shops, fire pits, and warm cocktails and beer brewed on site. Guests can reserve tickets for event programming featuring live music, a tree farm, a s’mores-making station, and more. The market is running daily from Tuesdays through Sundays until Jan. 3.

Holiday Nights of Lights is safely bringing holiday cheer to Toronto with an immersive drive-thru experience at Revel Park. Guests can enjoy over 1 million LED lights synchronized to holiday music played on the event’s dedicated radio station—FM 92.7—from now until Jan. 7.
