CALGARY: A Christmas food truck drive-thru event happened in Calgary this weekend at the Grey Eagle Resort. From Dec. 19-20, YYC Food Trucks hosted “Dashing Through the Trucks,” featuring takeaway food from Waffles and Chic, Family Dough, and Calgary Mini Donuts, plus the chance to get a picture with Santa Claus.
MONTREAL: Old Montreal’s free winter village runs until Dec. 27 at Place Jacques-Cartier. Place Nordique is an annual art installation that’s part of Montréal en Fêtes. This year's village, which enforces social distancing and is not serving food, offers a giant igloo, festive holiday lights, and eclectic sculptures.
TORONTO: The 2021 Collision conference will once again be held virtually due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. This year’s Collision From Home virtual event attracted more than 32,000 people from 140 countries, plus more than 600 speakers including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Twitter CTO Parag Agrawal.
VANCOUVER: The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum has chosen NexTech’s InfernoAR Experience platform to power its upcoming virtual convention and expo, which takes place May 3-6, 2021.
