NATIONAL: Starting Jan. 27, Niagara Parks will host a three-part speaker series focusing on Black history and culture in Canada. The series kicks off with a presentation by Rosemary Sadlier, who will discuss Blacks in the military; additional conversations will take place in February and March.
The eighth annual Digital Entertainment World will take place Feb. 8-12. The virtual conference will focus on the advertising, gaming, music, esports and podcasting communities, with speakers from the likes of YouTube, ViacomCBS, Peloton, PBS, Samsung and more. More than 2,000 attendees are expected.
Julie Brakenbury has been named the new president of the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA), effective Jan. 22 during the group's 2021 conference. Brakenbury is also the director of destination services for the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau in North Carolina.
