US: American Express and Resy’s Drive-Thru Food Fest, Accor’s New Hybrid Solutions and More

NATIONAL: Julius Solaris is the new head of engagement for virtual and hybrid event platform Swapcard, where he'll lead marketing initiatives such as the Evolve event series, the "Inside Event" podcast and Swapcard Academy. Solaris was previously the founder and editor in chief of EventMB, a Skift-owned website focused on event technology news.

Hospitality group Accor has launched All Connect, a new hybrid meeting concept powered by Microsoft Teams. Launching in April, the initiative aims to begin providing hybrid meeting solutions across 100% of the brand's hotels worldwide.

ANN ARBOR, MICH: Ann Arbor will be hosting its annual restaurant week event from Feb. 21-28. The event, which aims to highlight chefs and restaurant staff for their hard work, especially during a pandemic, will feature to-go family meals and cooking demonstrations.

LOS ANGELES: Event professional Hayley Haggarty has launched "In Case of An Event," a new interview-based podcast focused on sharing success stories and lessons learned from large-scale event producers including Craig Reese, David Audrain and Nancy Drapeau. The weekly series releases on Tuesdays.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: American Express and reservations platform Resy will host the Resy Drive-Thru Miami, a two-night culinary event on March 18 and 19. The experience, located at Mana Wynwood, will give guests a 10-course meal experience from the comfort of their cars, with participating chefs from institutions like Balloo, Cafe La Trova, Carbone Miami, Harry’s Miami Beach and more.
