DETROIT: The Detroit Tigers will host their Opening Day on April 1 at 20% capacity in the stadium. The Tigers are set to take on the Cleveland Indians, and precautions include, but are not limited to, cashless payment at all stations, fan seating in pods with 6 feet of physical distance between them, wellness surveys and face masks worn at all times.
LAGUNA BEACH, CALIF: La Casa Del Campo Hotel in Laguna Beach recently underwent a renovation to help combine its old Hollywood feel with its traditional Spanish charm. The renovations include 10 reimagined suites that reflect the surf culture of Laguna Beach, Spanish-style rooms with antique hand-carved furnishings and the Casita Cottage, a private beach house including outdoor space and full kitchen. There is also 6,200 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
LAS VEGAS: The anticipated Virgin Hotels Las Vegas opens today. Highlights of the massive property include the 60,000-square-foot Mohegan Sun Casino, as well as restaurants like Casa Calavera, Night + Market and Nobu. Three hotel towers feature 1,500 rooms; there’s also a 5-acre pool area, an event lawn and a 4,500-seat theater.
POTOMAC, MD: MPI Potomac’s Regional Conference and Expo ReConEx will take place April 12-13. The hybrid event will be held at The Hotel at the University of Maryland, and it will feature a variety of keynote speakers as well as educational forums. Registration includes access to both days as well as a swag bag for digital attendees, who will have access to several video networking opportunities and meet-ups.
