MONTREAL: The Palais des Congrès de Montréal and Tourisme Montréal have announced that the city will be hosting the One Young World Summit in 2024. The annual three-day event is expected to draw 2,500 people from all over the world and generate an estimated $4.4 million in tourism revenue along with 7,000 hotel room nights.

TORONTO: A retro roller-skating rink is slated to open at the Bentway in mid-June. The summer-long pop-up, called Retro Rolla, will allow attendees to rent rollerblades for an hour and skate through the 1970s-inspired space. The experience will be capped at 25 skaters to ensure social distancing, and masks will be required.

VANCOUVER: Jean-François Vary is the new general manager of the Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver. Vary most recently served as general manager of the Fairmont Winnipeg and has also held leadership roles at Fairmont properties across North America.
