CANADA: Calgary’s Pride Fest Goes Virtual, Montreal’s New Open-Air Event Space and More

NATIONAL: Impact XM has announced its speakers for Rethink 2021, a virtual conference that aims to inspire and educate event professionals about innovative marketing strategies. The event will take place digitally from June 15-16, and over 500 marketers are expected to be in attendance. Adam Grant, an organizational psychologist, and Tiffani Bova, a global customer growth and innovation evangelist at Salesforce, are two of the featured speakers. 

Global event company Reed Exhibitions has announced its new identity as RX. Building on its event business, the company plans to use its updated digital transformation to help all types of customers and businesses grow and create year-round communities.

CALGARY: Calgary’s annual pride festival will take place from Aug. 27 to Sept. 6 with a mix of hybrid and in-person events. Organizers made the decision to air the parade virtually for the second year in a row to keep participants safe; it can be streamed online on Sept. 5.

MONTREAL: Royalmount is changing gears on July 2 from a drive-in theater to a new garden event space. Jardin Royalmount is a 20,000-square-foot open-air garden that will be hosting comedy shows, concerts, parties and more. The space is adaptable for any type of event, and it will also have food and beverage selections available to guests. 

TORONTO: Beyond Monet: Toronto’s Most Immersive Experience will make its summer debut at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this August. Tickets went on sale June 10, and guests can experience Monet’s artwork through the enhancement of music and sound effects.
