Event review website Eventible has launched an interactive Global Event Tracker that tracks the reopening of business events, looking at key cities where B-to-B in-person events are making a return. The interactive map displays relevant information from the B-to-B event industry, allowing users to browse through events quickly while also referencing the official pages of the city that contain up-to-date information about the current COVID-19 situation.

CALGARY: After being canceled in 2020, this year’s 10-day Calgary Stampede ended up drawing more than half a million people—roughly 50,000 people daily. The outdoor event drew guests mainly from the Calgary area due to border closures, and entry required proof of vaccination or a negative rapid COVID-19 test. The 2019 edition drew about 1.2 million people total.

MONTREAL: The Montreal Pride Festival will be a hybrid event this year from Aug. 9-15. Together for All is the theme, and the event is being presented by TD Bank group. The festival will offer more than 70 hours of content, which will include five conferences, five DJ sets and 32 community shows; MAtv will air four pretaped shows along with opening and closing evening events.

VANCOUVER: Vancouver Writers Fest, in partnership with SFU Continuing Studies, will be hosting an online event with New York Times bestselling author Rivka Galchen this evening at 6 p.m. PST. Author Megha Majumdar will be moderating the talk, and tickets cost $35 and include a hardcover copy of Galchen’s book, Everyone Knows Your Mother is a Witch.
