ATLANTA: Live Thrive Atlanta and Delta Airlines will be hosting A CHaRM’ing Adventure Oct. 7 at Zoo Atlanta's Savanna Hall. The event will raise funds for Live Thrive’s Center for Hard to Recycle Materials and help cover the cost of CHaRM, the city's only permanent drop-off site for bulky or oversized items. Tickets are on sale now, and the event includes live performances, food and drink options, and live views of the African Savanna.
LAS VEGAS: The Lovers & Friends Festival, one of the world's largest R&B and hip hop events, will be coming to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 14, 2022. The event is presented by Live Nation, Snoop Dogg and Bobby Dee, and will include performances from Usher, TLC, Ludacris and Ciara. Tickets are on sale to the public now and start at $175 for general admission or $300 for VIP.
LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Convention Center recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, which also coincides with the launch of the Los Angeles Convention Center Hall of Fame, which was unveiled during the celebration last week. Three events—Anime Expo, the Los Angeles Auto Show and Ski Dazzle—were named as inaugural inductees, and additional events will be named each July.
WASHINGTON D.C.: Mark Driscoll, a 25-year hospitality industry veteran, has been promoted to EOS Hospitality’s regional managing director for the District of Columbia and Delaware, based at the Hamilton Hotel. In other D.C. venue news, Kim Saleik is now the director of venue sales at The Schuyler.
